Meet our Pastor
Rev. Pat Farnan was born in Corona, California on March 30, 1956.  Her Father was in the Navy and her family lived in several different places as she was growing up, giving her a diverse education and life experience.  She joined the United States Navy herself in 1981 as a Seaman Recruit, trained in electronics, and after 12 years, received a commission.  After serving on five different ships and traveling the world, she retired as a Lieutenant Commander in 2005.  While on active duty in the military, Rev. Pat earned a Bachelor of Technical Education and a Master of Science in Educational Counseling Degree from National University in San Diego, California.

Rev. Pat met her partner Judy in November, 2003.  They were joined in Holy Union in June, 2005.  She received her Master of Divinity Degree from the Virginia Union University School of Theology in Richmond in 2005, was ordained by the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches, and worked on staff at New Life Metropolitan Community Church before coming to Galveston to help plant Harbor MCC.  She and Judy arrived here in October, 2005 and Rev. Pat immediately began the process of preparing the congregation for public worship and becoming a fully affiliated church in the UFMCC.  Harbor MCC was fully affiliated in July, 2006 and Rev. Pat was officially called to continue on as the Pastor of the newly affiliated church.
